Algae Blennies are a very welcome addition to almost any reef tank. They get on with most fish with the exception of other Blennies. They will eat algae and can be used to help combat hair algae although they will not eat long strands of the algae.
They do best when provided with a cave or shell the can sit in. When using a shell this can be placed near the front of the aquarium to keep the Blenny visible at all times.
